Abdomen

The study module "Abdomen" focuses on the causes, diagnosis and therapies of diseases of the abdomen. We look at the specialty from a wide variety of perspectives. We focus on general complaints such as abdominal pain, vomiting, nausea and diarrhea, but also on specific topics such as liver changes, kidney and adrenal diseases, vascular changes, bleeding, burns and tumors. Aspects of wound healing and soft tissue infection as well as organ transplants in particular also play an important role here.

Furthermore, in the "Abdomen" study module, we not only address aspects of postoperative complications, shock room management, and artificial nutrition, but also address areas of clinical research and evidence-based medicine. Throughout the module, students receive cross-topic supervision from physicians from a wide range of disciplines.
