Muscoloskeletal System

Movement and the maintenance of mobility play an important role in people's lives. However, diseases of the musculoskeletal system are the most frequent reason for a doctor's consultation, for sick leave and for taking medication.

The "Musculoskeletal System" study module familiarizes future physicians with the many causes of disease and with strategies for prevention, diagnosis, therapy and rehabilitation. Since interprofessional cooperation is goal-oriented here, the module takes place together with the students of the physiotherapy school. In this way, common and different approaches can be explored. The focus of this practice-oriented block is on seminars with case-oriented teaching, which deal with aging, injury and inflammation in topic weeks. Lectures complement the seminars but focus on different content.
