Thorax

The "Thorax" study module provides an overview of the clinical pictures of the heart and lungs. The associated lectures are based on the current state of science and convey the latest findings and treatment methods.

The seminars focus on the relevant basics of coronary heart disease and myocardial infarction with their risk factors, cardiac valve diseases, cardiac arrhythmias and ECG as well as cardiac insufficiency and pulmonary diseases. All these aspects will be considered from a cardiological, surgical, nephrological and laboratory chemistry as well as pharmacological and hemostasiological point of view.

The knowledge imparted in the module makes it possible to recognize interdisciplinary clinical pictures from the thematic complex of heart and lung and to explain adequate treatment options coordinated with them.
