Erasmus+ Study

Our exchange programme “Erasmus+ Study” welcomes students enrolled in our partner universities to spend a period of your studies with us at the Medical Faculty of Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf (HHU). With the following information we would like to guide you through the application procedure.

Requirements at a Glance

  • There must be a valid Erasmus Agreement between your university and ours.
  • You must be nominated by your home university prior to the respective deadline.
  • Evidence of competency in German language is obligatory: TestDaF, Goethe-Zertifikat, Deut­sches Sprach­di­plom der Kul­tus­mi­nis­ter­kon­fe­renz, Telc or other official language certificates.
  • You must provide a complete Immunization Record.

Application and Admission Procedure

Two offices are involved in the admission process: the central International Office of HHU and us, the Office for International Affairs at the Medical Faculty. In order to be admitted you need to apply to both offices. Please see below for details as to which application forms should be sent to the International Office of HHU, and which (further) documents are required by us, the Office for International Affairs at the Medical Faculty:

For the International Office of HHU
  1. Nomination
    Your home university has to inform the International Office of HHU of your nomination prior to the respective deadline. Please turn to your Erasmus coordinator for deadlines and further information.
     
  2. Online Application
    Once successfully nominated by your home university, you will be asked to fill in an online application form by the International Office of HHU. You will be informed by the International Office of HHU as to which documents should be uploaded.
