Patient Internship 1

The assignment of a practicum for Patient Practicum 1 takes place in the summer semester for all 2nd semester students in HIS-LSF. The internship is completed during the lecture-free period after the summer semester.

A prerequisite for this is regular participation in the Famulaturreife courses in subject blocks 2 to 4 (i.e. you have gained admission to the final block examinations of subject blocks 2 to 4). The required evidence must be received by the end of Topic Block 4, but no later than before starting PP1.

The patient internship 1 is divided into 3 phases:

Booking deadline: 27.05. to 29.05.2020

In phase 1, you submit a ranking of the block dates in HIS-LSF according to your priority. In doing so, you should prioritize as many appointments as possible (ideally all appointments) in order to be sure to receive a place in the subsequent automated allocation process. The fewer appointments you prioritize, the higher the probability that no appointment can be assigned to you!

The priorities are assigned starting with 1: 1 corresponds to the highest priority. The time of your booking has no influence on the allocation of appointments within the booking period.

In the subsequent allocation process, the appointments are automated and allocated in such a way that as many students as possible receive an appointment with the highest possible priority.

When submitting your ranking, please make sure that there is no overlap with your chosen block date "Course Medical Psychology / Medical Sociology" (incl. exam date!).

After submitting your ranking, please make sure to check in HIS-LSF under "Meine Veranstaltungen" whether the ranking has been submitted correctly.

After the deadline has passed, but before the start of phase 2, you will receive an admission for a date with the highest possible priority.

Booking deadline: 05.06. to 09.06.2020

In Phase 2, you will submit a ranking in HIS-LSF according to your appointment assignment in Phase 1 of the medical practices that offer an internship during this period. Just as in Phase 1, you should prioritize as many practices as possible in order to be sure of receiving a spot in the automated assignment process. The fewer practices you prioritize, the higher the likelihood that you will not be assigned an internship! The timing of your assignment does not affect the placement allocation within the assignment period.

After submitting your ranking, please check in HIS-LSF under "My events" whether the ranking has been submitted correctly.

After the deadline has passed, but before the start of phase 3, you will receive an admission for a practice with the highest possible priority.

Booking deadline: 19.06. to 22.06.2020

Students who have not received an internship placement at the end of Phase 2 may take one of the remaining available internship placements in Phase 3 in the term block for which they received an admission in Phase 1.
