Stages of Life

The combined study and practice module "Stages of Life" focuses on the life stages from the emergence of life through birth, childhood and adolescence to the aging process.

Relevant diseases in these phases of life are thematized and significantly supported by the two subjects of gynecology (obstetrics) and pediatrics and adolescent medicine as well as the cross-sectional area of medicine of aging and the elderly. The module covers elements of human genetics, virology, child and adolescent psychiatry, pediatric surgery and forensic medicine, as well as clinical pharmacology, and addresses the special features of the phases of life.

By coordinating theory and practice in terms of time and content, we teach comprehensive skills in the context of the special stages of life. The events in child and adolescent psychiatry focus on psychological and social behavioral disorders in childhood and adolescence and thus complement the topic module.
